Man this week has been crazy, not only have they had sushi in the cafe... But they are not serving organic food! Yep, CBU is serving Fashion food! I love it!
This week was filled with starting class, work, small group leadership meeting (that lasted 4 hours!), and a sonic flood concert.
I'm not gonna lie, it's really hard to get back into the swing of things.. I mean I have graduated and now having to go back to school is a little weird. Don't get me wrong, I love my classes (well I have only been to each of them once), but it's like being a freshman all over again, having to meet new people, finding the ins and outs of a new school, and so on... I guess it is just a bit over whelming, but I got to get used to it! So is life, right? I'm really excited about what I will be learning and how I can apply it to my work setting right now, but the work load is a little intimidating, especially since I can be some-what of a procrastinator, I guess it is time for a change of old habits and get my ass into gear.
Work has been a bit draining; I like structure and things to be the same. I like to have daily projects that I can work on.. And right now it doesn't seem that way. I know it has been soo busy with the sonic flood and everything, but I feel like I am not being used to the best of my abilities. I don't feel like I have accomplished anything when the day ends. I like looking back on the day to see what I have accomplished and I can say that it hasn't been a whole lot... I'm excited for the week to come because we get to sit down and talk about what our schedule will look like and when I will work and all that stuff.. These 20 hours I'm working look more like 30 or 40 hours, so it will be good to lay down a schedule and hopefully my boss will give me a list of things that need to be accomplished so I can work on that...
I'm going to enjoy being an assistant small group leader this year. For so long I have wanted to get involved in church and I couldn't find the right place and where I would be interested in spending my time. It seems like God has just opened the doors for me to serve others and Him. I'm totally excited about it... So the group that I'm in met at our coordinators house (which is also my mentor) this past Friday to do corrections to the curriculum that we will be going through and to share about our needs and what we would like to see ourselves doing in the group. What was supposed to be dinner and group time for two hours, ended to be a four-hour ordeal! We pretty much ended up rewriting our curriculum (Not really). It was intense! But so much fun! We did get to share and input a lot of ideas that as a group we were having.
Where do I start? Saturday was a long day! From 8AM - 11:30PM! We helped set up and tear down... It was long... but it was good... I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a big sonic flood fan, but it was all right! Enough said about that!
I'm out.. I'm done typing.. I hope everyone is doing well! I hope that the Ashdowns are having an amazing first year anniversary today! Welp, see you guys later! Peace
