Tuesday Night Class

So I figured that I woud atleast try to post every tuesday night because so much goes on! See, I have class on Tuesday nights.. So I get to be by myself for a good 7 hours.. well not by myself.. but away from camp... Well anyways.. Class was Amazing (if you didn't catch the name of the class in my last post.. It is Administration Based on Biblical Principles). We had Jodi Wheeler (I think) speak to us today.. If you don't know him, he owns the 29th largest credit processing company's in the nation... Yeah I know it doesn't sound like much.. But he is a millionare! and a christian. Before starting his company he worked for Carl's Jr for 13 years.. he is only 31 or 32.. He started working at Carl's Jr. when he was 15 and pretty much worked his way up.. But anyways.back to the topic. He talked about his life and how God has worked through him and his family, It's amazing. The topic tonight was about hiring and firing.. I feel that I have gained so much knowledge on the subject that I didn't know about.. Jodi talked a lot about Hiring and how he could tell by the first apperence if he was going to hire the person (when he worked at Carl's Jr.), but that was only a small part at what went on. My prof and Jodi both said (many times). That id there businesses were to die tomorrow that they would be Ok, God has something different now and it is time to move on. It made me think of how much faith these two have and how much faith I lack.. I know God is teaching me a lot through this class, not only business stuff, but other things family and balancing a life and business and setting God first in all things.. I'm so excited about going to the following classes..

After our speaker leaves, we have discussion time.. I love it.. I don't talk but I get to hear older people in the class and them discuss. It's amazing to hear some of the stuff these older people have been through.. Like tonight we got a chance to ask questions to the prof and class about certain work related problems.. Most of them had to do with people being unethical.. but there was one that a lady in the front row shared. She is a Welfare fraud investigator, so she gets to tell people that they can't be put on welfare because of certain reasons and she says it is so hard because it would be so easy to tell everyone that they can be on welfare, but she can't do that.. they have to qualify. She shared how a lady come in about 4 years ago into her office and started to shoot.. luckily the person that she was doing a check up on jumped in front of her and took a bullet for her.. I was shocked to hear that story... I have so many questions I want to ask my professor, but I think mine seem to small because I'm not on the work force.. I want to know on how to deal with employee issues and all that stuff.. Alright enough of my blabbering.. I don't know if this post even made sense, but I got it off my chest.. night night time.. later
