ohh christmas break

Christmas break has been really fun.. It's a traditional chirstmas for the Smith Family... The order of 3 dozen Tamales came early this morning and are in the fridge till we get home from church... My mom made the pee-can (to Nikki) and choclate pie this morning and they bring a wonderful aroma to the house while waking up. My mom started preping for christmas lunch yesterday.. The potato roll dough was made yesterday and the giblets are being cooked this moment for the gravy and stuffing. The Corn Bread and Sausage/Giblet stuffing has been preped, but not cooked (Except the Sausage was cooked).. One thing my family has learned is that you never cook the stuffing a day early and let it sit, because it will sour up.. Believe me.. My granma usualy cooks the stuffing and it is hit and miss every year... Grandma isn't cooking for the family because she is split between my family and my aunt Renee's. My aunt Renee is weird when her kids come down, she wants them all to herself and she won't join us.. Crazy Lady! Oh, Church is at 5 and that means I need to do some laundry, cuz Kyle has nothing to wear.. Oh, I almost forgot.. Santa is coming over tonight, for my nephew.. Santa is one of my Dads workers.. His name is Fedi (it sounds like Feed-me with out the m sound)he is a very large Mexican Man (Yes, thats how we do it in Brawley, Mexican Santa's.. Thats how it should be, right Alissa? haha) Infact, his mom is the wonderful lady who makes our Tamales for us! She is amazing!
New Years has been talked about and I may be joining my brother for New Years in Big Bear with all his rowdy friends. They are a crazy bunch, but they are really nice.. One of his friends (Steven) parents own a mansion in Big Bear and thats where we will be staying. Some of these Brawley folk sure do have a lot of money.
So my Dad and I had a talk about what I am going to do after a graduate (which is what we talk about a lot) I threw out some Ideas, and I realized that I am one of the only one out of my friends in Brawley that is going to graduate on time. Quite a few of them are taking six years to get there degree.. Man I am glad I'm not going to be a super super senior, just thinking of that makes me want to shoot myself cuz I would be sooo in debt.. as it is, I will be coming out of college with about $45,000 dollars of loans.. Which isn't to bad, but $80,000 doesn't sound fun.. So going on to what my dad and I talked about.. I told him that is stuff doesn't work out in Riverside, then I may just move back here.. I have been thinking about it a lot.. Moving back to Brawley.. When I was a senior in High school, I wanted out of this place and to never come back.. But now I get older and think about my future, Brawley isn't really a bad place.. Small town life isn't that bad, it a good inviorment to raise a family, and Brawley is really a unique place to live. I mean you still live in California, But it's not a typical Southern California City.. Its country life (a little Hick/white trash at some moments and very high class at other).. Well I am tired of typing, it's time to do some laundry before it's to late.. Merry christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!
