One more story

Alright, I thought I would post another story that happen yesterday, in another business class... Before I start I want you guys to know I like this class and Dr. Herrity (He's British) is a really cool teacher... So class is about to end and Dr. Herrity brings up that we have a term paper due next month. He tells us it has to do with Enron (we already know this because it is in out syllabus and he talked about it two weeks ago. So someone asks him what format and how long and he tells us APA format and around 10 - 13 pages (but really all he says is, how much you "feel" like writing.. Well I don't feel like I want to write this paper at all!!!). Then he starts talking about what needs to be in it and he goes on to basically say, "What I really want you to do is take other peoples work and re-word, so that it looks like you and make it long enough so that you cover everything"... Do you find something wrong here? because I do! Take other peoples work and reword it and not give them the glory for it? I thought that was plagerism (sp?)? Oh well, teachers always know best!

I talk to the parents last night.. They are doing really good.. I talk to my mom and she asked me when I was gonna come home for my b-day (which is the 8th) and I well her the weekend of the Rodeo (nov. 12-14), thn she goes on and asks if I want her to cook something special and I said no, because I am going to be drunk the whole time anyways!haha J/k I wouldn't ever say a thing like that to my Momma!! But I did say no and she said well we aren't getting you anything for your b-day since we gave you a new car and I said "sweet, thanks mom your the best" and we laughed.. So Mom hands the phone to Dad, about the second thing that Dad asks is, "So what do you want for you bithday?" We had a short conversation about how Mom just said that I wasn't getting anything and he rephrased his question to "If you were to get somthing, what would you like?" and I told him a new Power book and he chuckled and said "realisticly, what would you like?" Then I said an I-POD and he said "OK, I'll see what we can do about that".. So I talk to him about how I wanted a powerbook and how I was going to take out a loan for one.. nd then I asked if I could tke out a loan through them and pay them back monthly. he said "well let me talk to the CFO of Gary Smith INC. (which is my mom, she handles all the banking in the house, mainly because my dad barely knows how to balance his check book and my mom use to be a banker, before she had Kevin and I)".. So we leave it at that and talk about school and my grades, and all that Jazz... He conversation ends and we say our goodbyes.... I totally wasn't expecting a direct answer till I got home.. but nope, I got one sooner then that... Mom calls at SIX THIRTY THIS MORNING!!!! I answer and she asked, "oh you didn't answer the first time, were you in the shower (why would I be in the shower at six?)?" and I tell her I was asleep, but I just got up and was going to get ready for work... She makes the conversationg quick and says "You have enough money in your emergency college fund to but the new lap top if you want, just let me transfer it to your account(emergency college fund? I take out loans for college, why do I have a fund, and why don't I know about it?)".. I get all excited and then reality sets in and I say, NO do not transfer it!! mainly because I will spend it on other things then a lap top! I told her that I wanted to go to an Apple store to buy it anyways.. But Kyle is getting a new Power Book, score!!! Well got to get ready for work.. Peace
